Water is flowing through a two layers filter system as shown in the Figure. The first stage of the filter system is a silty sand having a coefficient of permeability of 3 × 10^-4m/s. The area of the filter normal to the direction of flow is 0.19 m². When the inlet pressure is Z=50 kPa the flow through the system is measured to be 2 × 10^-5 m³/s.
